Trying to be smart !

This week was a slow yet fast week. This week I got a response from a data scientist that I interviewed a few weeks ago. Although I found a mentor, hearing his response made me happy. This because my mentor ,Mr. Yalagundla, was a little reluctant to give his social security number which was part of the requirement. I talked to Mrs.Penney about this and she did talk to him to reassure him. While I was telling Mrs. Penney about my mentor's concern, she recommended to keep looking for mentors just in case. In the midst of finding more mentors, I got an email from Mr.Dehane that he can be my mentor. This made me happy because I now have a back up plan but I decided to have him also do the paperwork. I realized that it is better to have two mentors than none.

My objective for this week is to touch base with my mentors about how the background paperwork is going and I hope to have a mentor meeting soon. I also want work on my research paper throughout the week so I do not feel stressed on Friday night in a hurry to finish it. In addition, I want to also start working on my project planning and decide what I want to do for this week. I am excited to start the next chapter of this journey because it was hard to persevere in this struggle of finding a mentor. This process was very tedious but I hope the end result is what I hope it is. My ISM journey so far has been amazing, insightful, and sometimes uncomfortable but I know these are the experiences that will help in my future endowments.
