Still Waiting!!

This week was asynchronous and a more chiller week compared to the week before. However, I tried to make the most of it and use my time wisely. I emailed my mentor about his status because it hasn't been approved yet. This is causing some anxiety and stress but I will give it another week for everything to settle. I also have taken steps toward my product proposal by learning more about data visualization techniques and design principles which I learned from my research assessment paper. I also learned about some python that is related toward data visualization that will help me in the future of me creating my visuzlation. This week I also submitted my product proposal which also helped me get focused and organized for my final product.

Since everything is getting back to normal and next week is synchronous, my objective is to hopefully have my mentor approved, touch base with my mentor, and hopefully have the first meeting with him. This was my objective last week and I hope this week he gets approved. Till my mentor gets approved and I am able to have a meeting with him, I want to work on planning of how I want my visualization to look like, what graphs I will use to showcase the data, and learn the coding language more to have a good foundation of this language so I can create the best data visualization I can. In addition, I want to make it a goal to work on my research paper throughout the week so I do not feel stressed on Friday night in a hurry to finish it. I am excited to start the next chapter of this journey because it was hard to persevere in this struggle of finding a mentor. This process was very tedious but I hope the end result is what I hope it is. My ISM journey so far has been amazing, insightful, and sometimes uncomfortable but I know these are the experiences that will help in my future endowments.
