Proposal Time

For this week, my main focus was to think about and finalize my original work proposal. Although this was the only objective for this weak, it was a lengthy and cumbersome process. Coming up with a proposal was difficult for me because of my chosen topic. Since my topic is data science, my proposal can be about any topic I wanted and although that can be an advantage for me it was hard for me because I was an overthinker. To narrow down my options, I asked Mrs.Penney for advice and looked up online to get me thinking. This was very helpful for me as I was able to narrow down my proposal. I also had to take into consideration my abilities and the knowledge I had and what I needed to do to be successful in my original work. While coming up with a proposal was my main objective, I was also able to get some potential interviews for next week. Some other highlights about this week were being able to talk to Ms.Penney, Mrs. Penney’s daughter, about our proposal and our resumes. This interaction was very helpful to me because Ms.Penney was able to give some important pointers and tips about my resume. My goals and objectives for next week are to be prepared for the ISM symposium to my best of abilities, work on my research assessment throughout the whole week, and find new people to interview. This week was unique because I had only one task but I believe it was a productive and knowledgeable week for me.
