I found a Mentor!

This week went by really quickly. This week I spent most of my week preparing and feeling confident to present my original work presentation. I felt like I was more confident than my first time and I hope my grade reflects that. This week I was still on the hunt for someone to be my mentor at least interviews. My latest interview with Mr.Dehane went great and I even wrote my primary on that but he has not responded to any of my emails that requested him to be my mentor. However, on the bright side, I was also talking to a family friend who is also in the data science world and he has agreed to be my mentor. I didn’t expect him to agree because he is a very busy person but I am glad I found a mentor.

My objective for this week is to email my mentor about all the paperwork and background checks that he has to complete and keep him informed about his role in my project and also began my project. I am excited to start the next chapter of this journey because it was hard to persevere in this struggle of finding a mentor. This process was very tedious but I hope the end result is what I hope it is. My ISM journey so far has been amazing, insightful, and sometimes uncomfortable but I know these are the experiences that will help in my future endowments.
