For this week, I did my third research assessment, did a final- draft of my resume, and was on the hunt for potential mentors. For every assessment, I learn more about data science as a whole but for this assessment, I was able to understand the daily tasks a data scientist does to solve a particular problem. This assessment focused on how social media is a tool for data scientists to help companies through a study where they gather customer satisfaction in social media and make codes and algorithms. This assessment honed in on how this process is done and that really help me understand and almost experience the specific roles as a data scientist and the impact they have. From reading this article, I loved how data science is helpful for marketing and the influence it has on businesses, and want to continue exploring data science in that realm. I also did a final draft of my resume using Canva. From this experience, I learned the importance of format, color, space, and proportion and how important that is. With the help of Mrs.Penney and her criticism, I was able to make my resume better and know what types of resumes are better to use. Doing my resume, showed me the importance of this class and how important it is to learn basic skills such as making a useful resume. I was successful this week, being on top of my assignments and doing a little day by day. My goals for next week are to be productive but also find mentors, began to email them, and start building my correspondence list.
